actually requires that you hammer on with your picking hand to
play the second note (watch him in concert!)

didn't coincide with open strings (as the band often does during
those crazy Jam > Tweezer Reprise deals), this would be a better
choice since you can play it with a barre, thus in any key: here

I figured out a way to "simulate" the band's playing the background part on the guitar.
Use lots of distortion :), and keep the D string ringing the whole time
